More Information

What about food?
We encourage owners to bring the food their pet is used to at home. We store it on a shelf with the pets name on it. We also have a mini fridge to store food in. Bringing food from home prevents your pet from experiencing stomach upset while at the kennels. However; we can provide food also. The brand we use is the Costco Kirkland brand and we keep dry and wet food in storage.

What can I bring?
We encourage owners to bring their pets bedding, toys and favorite treats. The kennels are large enough to accomodate a large round dog bed. For smaller dogs or cats, you may also bring a small crate if you feel they will be more comfortable with it in their kennel (this is not encouraged for large dogs). Owners may also bring any blankets or towels in place of a dog bed.
Please note: Waldorf Kennels or any of its staff is not responsible for damaged items

Comfort of your pets:Both the dog and cat areas have heaters (in the winter) and fans (in the summer). The cat room has a window to allow for fresh air circulation. Cats also have a flat screen television where fish and bird programs are played on a continuous loop. There are speakers througout the Kennel playing a nice assortment of jazz music to relax our guests and we also check up on them several times throughout the day to ensure everyone is comfortable. Half of the dog kennel floor is heated during the winter. They also have an automatic watering system so they always have access to water. Dogs are also able to see and smell outside but are still protected from the weather as the outdoor part of the kennel is covered.

What is required for vaccinations?
Dogs: Rabies, DHLPP (Distember-Parvo combination shot), and Bordetella (Kennel Cough).
Cats: Rabies, FVRCP (Distemper-Parvo combination shot).
Please Note: We will not admit pets that show symptoms or signs of coughing upon arrival or those that are sick.
We require a copy of these up to date records. They can be faxed to us (fax: 360 213 2902) or brought into the kennel upon drop-off.

***If you administer the shots yourself you must provide a photocopy of the label of the vaccination AND the date it was given.***

***If your pet is too old or for some other reason has not received the required vaccinations, we must be provided with a signed letter from your veterinarian that explains the circumstances.***

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Waldorf Kennels has a 7 day cancellation policy. Any changes to a reservation must be made 7 days prior to you pet boarding with us. This includes, cancellations, date chages, and how many pets are to be boarded. If changes or cancellations are made after the dead line you will be responsible to pay 50% of what the original boarding bill would be. This policy is in effect to minimize poblems caused by last minute cancellations and changes.
Thank You for your understanding.
